AUDIO VERSION

Paul is writing to the Believers in Philippi, expressing his deep desire for their spiritual growth. He wants their love to overflow, but not just any love, love that is rich in knowledge and discernment.

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ. Philippians 1:9-10

Love in its purest form is not blind. Knowing how to distinguish what is good is informed and wise.

The prayer from Paul reminds us that our love should grow in understanding. This means seeking the truth from the Word of God and applying it in our lives.

Our love becomes more effective when we immerse ourselves in the Bible, pray, and live out our faith. It is not swayed by every emotion or opinion but is grounded in the Word of God.

In a world filled with choices and opinions, discernment is crucial. It helps us identify what aligns with the Word of God and what does not.

When our love is accompanied by discernment, we can navigate the complexities of life with grace and integrity.

The ultimate goal is making choices that reflect the Word of God. It is about setting our hearts and minds on things that honor God, leading to a sincere life guided by the Word of God.

You are living a life that is real in your faith and relationships and striving to please God. As you reflect on this devotion, pray for your love to abound in knowledge and discernment as you live sincerely for God.

In doing so, you live a life that reflects the love of God to the world and honors God in all you do.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word and the instructions You have left for us to read, meditate, and act upon, especially with all the distractions in life. Life does have challenges that You already know. You have given us the most important guidance we could ever ask for and act upon. It is Your very Word and the Holy Spirit within to lead us into all truth. No wonder we can live in Victory as we act upon Your Word. Thank You, Father God. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
