LIVING THE ABUNDANT LIFE
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Jesus did not come only to give us a spiritual survival kit. He came to provide us with a life that is full, rich, and overflowing.
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
While the enemy works overtime trying to drain us with lies, fear, stress, and sin, Jesus offers something entirely different, a life that goes beyond existing. He offers abundance.
It is more than a comforting promise; it is a daily reminder of what we have been given in Christ. The enemy may try to rob us of joy, peace, and purpose, but Jesus stands as our Shepherd and Savior, offering protection, restoration, and blessing.
The word abundantly does not necessarily mean material wealth. It means a quality of life found in Him, a soul at rest, a heart alive, and a mind filled with hope.
That kind of life shows up in small moments, too. In laughter with loved ones, in peace during hard seasons, in strength when we should be too weak to keep going. The abundance Jesus gives changes the way we experience everyday life. It lifts our heads when we are weary and puts courage in our hearts when we are uncertain.
To live this life, we must stay close to God. The enemy is sneaky, slipping in with distractions and discouragement. Jesus, though, is clear, steady, and always present. He leads us to still waters and green pastures, not always easy roads, but always fulfilling ones.
If you are feeling like life has been more about surviving than thriving lately, these words breathe life into your soul. Jesus did not promise ease, but He did promise fullness, and He always keeps His word.
Heavenly Father, thank You for coming to give me life: real, abundant, everlasting life. Help me to walk in that truth today and every day. Keep me close to You, and guard my heart from anything that would steal the joy You give. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
