PRAISING GOD WITH OUR HEARTS
When we praise God with words and a heart aligned with the Word of God, we let our praise flow naturally from our hearts, and it shapes our decisions and actions.
I will praise You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments. Psalm 119:7
Living with uprightness of heart does not mean we are perfect, but it does mean our intentions are honest and pure before God. We then seek His guidance, learn from His righteous judgments, and allow the Word to shape our decisions and actions.
The more we dive into the Bible, the more we understand the character of God, His wisdom, and His plan for our lives. This knowledge informs us and transforms us, leading us to praise God because we see how good, fair, and just He really is.
It is easy to get caught up in the necessities of life, but taking time to learn from the Word of God gives us a clearer perspective on how to live. His Word provides us with a steady foundation, especially in a world full of shifting values on which we can build our lives. Letting that truth sink into our hearts changes how we live.
When our hearts are aligned with the Word, our praise becomes more than just lip service. It is a reflection of a heart that has encountered the truth and has been shaped by the Word. As we grow in our understanding of the Bible, our praise deepens because we see more of the righteousness and goodness of God.
Let this inspire you to praise God, allowing Him to guide your thoughts, actions, and attitudes. When you do, your praise will naturally reflect a heart in tune with the Word of God that will shape your future.
Heavenly Father, I am so very thankful for Your Word, the Bible. I learn more each day as I commit to read, study, and obey its teachings. I make a commitment to read each day so I can live and be more like Jesus. I want Your love to be shown to others through me. I commit to study and learn from You, especially in the uncertain days we are living in. I desire others to see You and Your Love in me. Thank You, Father, for leading me. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
