MORE THAN CONQUERORS

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

AUDIO VERSION

It is easy to allow the hurt from others to affect other areas of our lives. For example, it is easy to take our hurts out on others if we have been betrayed.

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37-39)

Responding to the damage that other people cause is unhealthy and causes us to destroy the relationships in our lives that could be the support we need to get through difficult times.

Instead of taking our hurts out on others, consider what today’s Bible verse tells us. In the middle of difficult times, we are more than conquerors.

That means we are winners, and we might look in the mirror and see someone we think is not winning at the moment. But that is not what God sees. When He looks at us, God sees someone that has value.

We choose our responses when we have been hurt. We can hold onto that hurt and allow it to destroy us and allow it to hurt others, or we can choose to go to God instead.

We can let God be our comfort when we have been hurt and let God’s Word give us strength.

There is no reason to put ourselves down or to pay attention to others who try to hold us back. God knows us, He made us, and He knows the potential He has placed within us.

Living by faith means aligning ourselves with what God thinks of us. We will face many battles in our lives, but we can do so by knowing that Jesus fought for us on the cross and made us more than conquerors over the attacks of the enemy in our lives.

Believe in God and believe in ourselves and remember that nothing is impossible with God.

What hurts in your life do you need to turn over to God?

Heavenly Father, I am more than a conqueror through You who loves me. You loved me so much, You gave up Your Son to die on that cross for me. As part of the body of Christ, I, too, want to live my life in honor and love, living with the giving of glory to You. When others see me today, let them see You in me, I pray. Thank You, Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
