GOD’S TREASURY FUND
We will enjoy forever what we invest in heaven, and we invest in heaven every time we use our money for good.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)
We invest in eternity by using our money to grow our character and serve others in need.
This is when we use our money to share the Good News and bring people to Jesus.
“And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home.” (Luke 16:9)
Most people have no idea what this Bible verse means. It means that God wants us to invest in things that help get people into heaven so that they will welcome us there when we get to heaven.
It’s the most significant investment of our lives. How many people are going to be in heaven because of you?
When we give money to God as an act of worship, that is called the Treasury Fund.
The Bible tells us that wherever our treasure is, our heart will also be there. If what is most important to us are the things of this earth, then we are moving further and further away from our treasure every day. Because every day, we have one less day before we go to heaven.
If we are investing in God’s funds and using our money to serve God’s purposes, then we are storing up treasure in heaven every day. We are getting closer and closer to our treasure instead of further and further away.
Where are you storing your treasures?
Heavenly Father, I want my life to be an investment for the Kingdom of Heaven. I want to fulfill the heart of You, Father, with my treasures. I want to please You and fulfill Your calling on my life in bringing others to you. Lead me in every step I make that my life may bring all glory and honor to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
