AUDIO VERSION

Have you ever felt that hard things come our way when we lose focus? Hard to deal with people coming our way, and we lose courage. Hard times come our way, and we lose faith. We are so far from thankful that we have gone to the other extreme of actually being ungrateful.

"The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted, The Rock of my salvation (2 Samuel 22:47)

David gave his victory to the Lord. He did not take credit for it. David knew he would not have had victory if God had not been on his side.

Jesus is the Rock of our salvation, and God is the One that defeats our enemies. The Holy Spirit dwells inside each of us. He is the warrior that fights within us. We may not see Him, but we know He is with us. Thank the Lord for being our Rock and our salvation!

This is not just about the food we eat and the clothes we wear; it is being thankful for who the Lord is and how He has delivered us.

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples!
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works!
Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore!
Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,” (1 Chronicles 16:8-12)

We are here to thank God for what He has done for us and tell others His deeds.

The next time we run across people who have something to complain about, whether it is their spouses or their children or their life, remind them of their Rock and Who is their salvation.

Then they can be encouraged to turn around and head straight back to Jesus and fall before Him in thanksgiving, bringing their children with them.

We can trust Jesus. Make a decision today to let go of whatever it is that we are holding. If you still feel shaken, remember that God has not given you the spirit of fear, and you do not have to accept its presence in your life. You have the spiritual authority through Jesus to win, so today, we invite you to Stand on the Rock!

Will you make Jesus your Rock today?

Heavenly Father, Jesus is my Rock and my Salvation! I must tell others Your deeds. I must be the influence of Your grace and mercy to a world around me that needs You. Oh, how they need Your Love to shine forth. Use me, Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
