UNIMAGINABLE SOURCE OF JOY
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
No matter how bad life gets, we can rest in one important truth: God will not stop loving us. We will have things go right. We will have things go wrong, but God’s love will never end. We can count on that.
“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
That truth should be one of the most important sources of joy in our lives. That is good news. When we put our hands in God’s hand, He grabs them and will never let them go. God holds on to us with all His power.
We will have times in our lives when we may want to let go of God’s hand. We may want to give up our commitment to Jesus when times get tough. But in those tough times, God will not let go of us. Once we put our hands in His, they are there to stay.
If we could earn our salvation by working for it, we could lose it when we stopped working for it. But we did not earn our relationship with God. It was a free gift from Jesus. Once it has been given, it can never be taken back.
That is an unimaginable source of joy for everyone who Believes.
What do you need to entrust to God today?
Heavenly Father, I am so thankful for Jesus and for the eternal life I have in You. I entrust every part of my being into Your hands. In that is the security of my life, knowing You will never leave me nor forsake me. Your love is everlasting. Thank You, Father God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
