OBTAINING STRENGTH THROUGH COURAGE AND HOPE
Life often tests our courage in unanticipated ways. Some days, everything moves smoothly, but other days we face challenges that can leave us drained, discouraged, and uncertain about the future.
Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24
In those tough moments, God gently reminds us that we don’t have to rely only on our own strength. He is always ready to help us move forward, even when we feel weak.
David encourages us to be brave because our hope is in the Lord. This doesn’t mean pretending everything is perfect or never feeling afraid. Instead, it means trusting God even when life seems overwhelming. Courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s choosing faith and hope, even when we’re scared.
Sometimes prayers seem unanswered, problems keep coming, and the future looks uncertain. You might wonder how much longer you can hold on. But God’s Word promises that He strengthens the hearts of everyone who puts their hope in Him. When you feel like you can’t keep going, His strength is there to lift you up.
Think about some of the challenges you’ve already faced. There were probably times when you didn’t know how you’d make it through, but God brought you this far. Remembering His faithfulness in the past helps us trust that He will keep being faithful today.
Sometimes, courage looks like taking just one more step. Other times, it’s waiting patiently, forgiving someone, starting over, or simply getting out of bed and trusting God with a new day. These small acts of faith matter—they show where our hope really lies.
God never promised that life would always be easy, but He does promise to stay by our side and give us the strength we need. When we let go of our worries and trust Him, we can find peace—even before anything around us changes.
Today, whatever you’re going through, remember that you are not alone. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep taking small steps forward. Your own strength may not always feel like enough, but God’s strength and love will always be there for you.
Heavenly Father, strengthen my heart when I feel weak and give me courage when fear surrounds me. Help me trust Your promises, remain patient through difficulties, and place my hope completely in You. Guide my steps and renew my faith each day. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
