AUDIO VERSION

Life has a way of shaking our confidence. One day, everything seems to fall into place; the next, something unexpected happens, and we’re left wondering what to do next. We all face decisions, disappointments, responsibilities, and situations that feel bigger than we are.

I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Psalm 16:8

David reminds us that stability doesn’t come from knowing all the answers or having everything figured out. Instead, it comes from keeping God at the center of our lives and hearts, no matter what we are facing.

David’s words show us that standing firm is a choice we make on purpose. He didn’t wait for trouble to arrive to turn to God’s presence. Instead, he made God his priority every day—during peaceful times and difficult ones. David understood that his strength and comfort came from staying close to the Lord, no matter what.

We can make that same choice today, too. No matter where you are or what you are facing, God welcomes you to turn to Him and lean on His strength.

Keeping God before us means inviting Him into our thoughts, conversations, decisions, and daily routines. It's like opening the door of your heart to Him and letting Him walk with you through each moment—big or small. It means turning to Him before worry takes over, trusting His wisdom when answers aren’t clear, and remembering His promises when circumstances feel uncertain.

David said, “Because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.” What an assuring and powerful declaration. He wasn’t saying that all his problems would disappear. Rather, he was sharing that God’s presence gave him the strength and courage to remain steady through whatever he faced.

We all have moments when fear tries to overwhelm us, when people disappoint us, or when the future feels doubtful. Yet those moments don’t have to steal our peace. God’s faithfulness remains constant, even when everything around us changes. He is a constant anchor you can hold onto.

Sometimes, standing firm looks like praying instead of panicking, trusting instead of assuming the worst, or just taking the next faithful step when we can’t see the whole road ahead. Each small choice to trust God matters, and He is with you every step of the way.

Today, whichever challenges await you, remember: you are not facing them alone. God is near, His wisdom is available, and His strength is more than enough for whatever arrives your way.

Keep your eyes on Him. Let His promises guide your thoughts, and let His presence bring peace to your heart. You may not be able to control everything around you, but with God beside you, you can stay grounded, confident, and faithful through whatever comes your way. Remember, you are deeply loved, and you are never alone.

Heavenly Father, help me keep You before me in everything I do. When life feels uncertain, remind me that You are beside me. Strengthen my faith, calm my worries, and guide my steps. Let Your presence keep my heart steady and my trust unwavering. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
