FINDING FAVOR
Living faithfully in a world that seems far from God can be challenging. It is easy to feel discouraged when we see people making choices that seem different from what God wants for us. In times like this, we might wonder if doing what is right really matters, or if anyone even notices.
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Genesis 6:8
Noah’s story reminds us that God notices everyone who chooses to walk with Him, even when it feels like you’re the only one going a different way. God always watches over and cares for those who follow Him.
During Noah’s time, most people had turned away from God, and their hearts were focused on things that weren’t good. Yet, right in the middle of that darkness, Noah stood out—not because he was perfect, but because he found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Noah trusted God. While others might have ignored God’s ways, Noah chose to listen and follow. His faith wasn’t based on what everyone else was doing; he knew that following God’s heart mattered much more than fitting in.
The same goes for us today. You really don't have to follow whatever the crowd is doing or change what you believe just to fit in. God calls us to stay close to Him, even when life gets tough, or people around us don't get it. Sometimes it means making hard choices, choosing to show kindness even when it isn't returned, or simply standing your ground when you feel like giving up.
What is especially encouraging about Noah’s story is that God’s grace came before Noah did anything. God didn’t choose Noah because he was extraordinary or because he earned it—God loved Noah, and that love became the foundation for everything else Noah did.
That is a wonderful reminder for all of us: We don’t have to earn God’s love with perfect choices or good behavior. His grace is a gift that invites us to walk closely with Him, no matter what.
Whatever you are facing today, always remember that God sees your heart. Your faithfulness matters deeply to Him, even if no one else sees. Keep trusting God, keep choosing what is right, and keep walking in His loving ways. You are never alone.
You don’t need the world’s approval when you are living in God’s grace and love. His favor is worth more than anything else this world can offer. Rest in that truth and let it give you peace and confidence today.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your amazing grace. Help me remain faithful when the world pulls me away from You. Give me courage to obey Your Word, strength to stand firm, and a heart that seeks Your approval above all else. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
