GOD GOES WITH YOU
So He said, "I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain."
God never promised that following Him would always be easy, but He promised something far greater: His presence. No matter what you face, you are never alone—God walks with you through every moment.
So He said, "I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain." Exodus 3:12
When Moses was standing before the burning bush, he felt completely unqualified for what God was asking him to do. Leading the Israelites out of Egypt seemed impossible. Moses knew his limitations, remembered his past, and questioned whether he was the right person for such an enormous responsibility. Maybe you’ve felt like that too—wondering if you’re truly up to what is ahead. You’re in good company.
But God’s answer to Moses was simple and powerful: “I will certainly be with you.”
Notice that God didn’t hand Moses a step-by-step plan for success. He didn’t promise that Pharaoh would cooperate, or that the journey would be easy, or even that Moses wouldn’t make mistakes along the way. What He did promise was His friendship and presence—that Moses would never have to face anything alone.
That same promise is for you, right now. Life brings all kinds of challenges—big responsibilities, surprising turns, and moments that leave us feeling overwhelmed. Maybe you’ve found yourself asking, “Am I strong enough? Am I wise enough? Can I really do this?” If so, you’re not alone. It’s normal to feel uncertain and even hesitant when dealing with the unknown.
But here is the good news: God’s presence changes everything.
When God calls us to move forward, He never expects us to rely on our own abilities alone. Instead, He invites us to lean on Him, to trust His strength, and to believe that even when we can’t see how things will work out, He’s already at work behind the scenes on our behalf.
Think about the challenges on your plate right now. Whether you're at a difficult crossroads, facing an unpredictable future, or carrying a heavy burden, you are not alone. You don’t have to have it all figured out—Moses didn’t. What was most important was learning to trust the God who walked beside him. And that same God is with you, encouraging you on and guiding your steps.
Faith doesn’t mean knowing all the answers or knowing exactly what tomorrow holds. It means trusting God, who already knows and cares deeply for you.
Today, whatever lies ahead, don’t let fear or feelings of inadequacy keep you from moving forward. Take the next step—no matter how small—with confidence, knowing that God is with you every step of the way. His presence is greater than any obstacle, and He delights in walking with you.
Heavenly Father, thank You for promising to be with me. When I feel weak, uncertain, or afraid, remind me that Your presence is enough. Give me courage to follow Your direction, strength to face each challenge, and faith to trust Your plan. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
